Boys’ Kurta Pajama Size Guide (Ages 1–10) for Weddings and Pujas

By Abhishek Arora · Style World, Aintree · Updated 31 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

Quick answer

Sizes come in 1–2 up to 9–10 years, but there is no standard chart – each design fits differently. WhatsApp 0450 649 304 with his age and height and Style World will measure the exact set for you. If he is between sizes, go up. Sets are 1 for $40 or 2 for $60.

Boys grow fast, so getting a kurta pajama size right for a wedding, puja or Gurpurab (Tuesday 24 November) can be tricky. Our boys’ sets come in ages 1 to 10. Here’s how to pick the right one.

Boys’ kurta pajama sizes at Style World

Our boys’ kurta pajama sets come in sizes from 1–2 years up to 9–10 years.

There’s no standard size chart for Indian kidswear. Every design and every maker cuts a little differently, so a “5–6 years” in one set can fit like a 4–5 or a 6–7 in another. The age on the label is only a starting point.

The easiest way to get it right: WhatsApp 0450 649 304 with your son’s age and height (and chest if you have it), tell us which set you like, and we’ll measure that exact set and tell you which size to pick.

How to measure your son

  1. Height: stand him against a wall, shoes off. This matters most.
  2. Chest: measure around the fullest part, under the arms. Add 5–8 cm for room to move.
  3. Kurta length: from the shoulder to just above the knee.
  4. Pajama length: from the waist to the ankle.

More tips are in our guide on how to measure for Indian outfits.

Between sizes? Go up

Pajamas have an elastic or drawstring waist, so a slightly bigger size still fits now and lasts longer. You can fold the sleeves or take up the hem for the day.

Which style for which event?

  • Wedding or reception: silk kurta pajama, or our sequin kurta – now $65 (was $100).
  • Puja, Gurpurab or temple: cotton or angrakha-style kurta pajama – soft and comfortable for sitting on the floor.
  • Haldi, mehndi or a summer day event: light cotton in pastel or bright prints.

All boys’ sets are 1 for $40 or 2 for $60 while stock lasts. Dressing the whole family? Try our family matching tool, or see men’s sizes on our kurta pajama page.

Quick answers

What size kurta pajama should I buy for my son?

Sizes vary by design, so there’s no one chart that fits all. WhatsApp us his age and height and we’ll measure the exact set. If he’s between sizes, go up – the elastic waist means it still fits and lasts longer.

What should a boy wear to an Indian wedding?

A silk or sequin kurta pajama. For pujas and Gurpurab, a soft cotton kurta pajama is more comfortable.

Where can I buy boys’ kurta pajama in Melbourne?

Style World, 251 Frontier Ave, Aintree – sizes 1 to 10 years, 1 for $40 or 2 for $60. Open every day 11am to 8pm. WhatsApp 0450 649 304.
