End-of-Year Teacher Gifts in Melbourne: Bamboo Dry Fruit Platters

By Abhishek Arora · Style World, Aintree · Updated 5 Nov 2026 · 2 min read

Victorian schools and kinders finish for the year on Friday 18 December 2026. If you’re looking for a thank-you gift for your child’s teacher, kinder educator or childcare room leader that’s a little different from chocolates and candles, a bamboo dry fruit platter is useful, reusable and looks lovely.

Why a dry fruit platter works

• Reusable: teachers can use it for snacks, keys or jewellery long after the treats are gone.
• Easy to share: fill it with nuts, dates or wrapped chocolates for the staff room.
• Fits any budget: one platter from the class, or a smaller one from each family.

Our bamboo platters

• Double Heart platter – $35
• Round platter – $50
• Leaf Shape platter – $50
• Moon & Star platter – $50
• Love Hearts platter – $50

See all shapes, including heart, gourd and three-petal, on our gift ideas page.

What to put inside

• Almonds, cashews, pistachios and dates
• Wrapped chocolates or local fudge
• A handwritten card from your child – teachers keep these

Tip: check for nut allergies first – fill it with chocolates or dried fruit instead.
