The Hindu wedding season starts again after Dev Uthani Ekadashi (Saturday 21 November 2026 in Australia). Here are the commonly listed vivah muhurat (auspicious wedding) dates for the next few months, and when to get your outfits sorted.

Dates differ between panchangs, cities and communities – always confirm the exact date and time with your family pandit.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 December. After mid-December most families pause weddings until mid-January.

When to buy your outfits

• 4–6 weeks before: choose the main outfit and allow time for blouse stitching or alterations.
• 2 weeks before: final try-on with shoes and jewellery.

What to wear
